GREECE IN BRITAIN 2005

with the Greece in Britain series of events.
Greece in Britain is presented by The Hellenic Foundation for Culture, UK
in collaboration with the Embassy of Greece. While by no means ignoring past
history and achievements, Greece in Britain offers a wide range of events
illustrating the wealth and diversity of contemporary Greek culture of appeal
to diverse audiences.

In 2005 Greece in Britain embarks on its eighth season of a rolling programme
of cultural events begun in January 1998 in celebration of the then UK Presidency
of the European Union. This brings us full circle, as the UK will have
the Presidency of the European Union for the second half of this year (July
– December 2005). It is hoped that the occasion will be marked by special
Greece in Britain events organized in honour of the occasion.
